They separated themselves and departed one from another, trusting in the Lord that they should meet again at the close of their harvest; for they supposed that great was the work which they had undertaken. And assuredly it was great, for they had undertaken to preach the word of God...

Temple trip to the Mexico City Temple

District 9C- Our selfie game is strong.

December 3, 2014

I am a little disappointed that there are not better details about thanksgiving! But we had a devotional by Elder Bednar, and it was really good. He had a Q and A session, but since it was broadcast from Provo, we didn't actually get to ask any of our questions, just the lame Provo missionaries. The CCM missionaries are way better! Out of my district just me and my companion are going to Pittsburgh, the Elders are all going to Lubbock, Texas and Hermana Sperry is going to Fort Worth, Texas and Hermana Andelin is going to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but I am gonna miss them when we leave because they are totally awesome. I expect a lot of pictures from the ward party, especially of Dad as the conductor. I will miss the keynote concert, but guess whata! I get to be part of the missionary choir that goes to the Mexico City Temple Visitors Center to do a Christmas program! I am way excited! I have had a cold, but it is getting better, thankfully. I am sad I missed out on all the Thanksgiving mishaps haha but at least no one ended up in the hospital this year. Everything here is going really well. I love teaching in Spanish, even though our investigators are our teachers. The spirit is so strong and I never thought that in just a month I would be able to speak this well or be able to teach and respond to questions coherently. It just makes me that much more excited to go out and be able to teach this to real people. I love you guys, keep me updated. Love you and miss you!

I have been feeling a lot better and I eat and sleep and all is well, so no worries there. I love it here. My companion Hermana Davis is awesome and we work really well together. She is from Sacramento and she is 19 too, but she went to BYU for a year before her mission. The other hermanas in my district are Hermana Sperry and Andeling, they are super nice, and we all hang out together all the time. The elders are Ferguson, our district  leader, Sommer, Berta, and Whitesides, I will try to point out who is who in the next picture I send. I really do love it here and my Spanish is getting a lot better. My teacher told Hermana Davis and I that our Spanish is some of the best that he has heard in a lesson this early on, so I am pretty excited about that, but it is still hard but I know the Lord is blessing us! The food is way too good here and I eat way too much, but that is okay. I am sad I am missing all the fun Holiday stuff but yesterday for our service project we decorated a Christmas tree in the infirmary and I took a picture so I will send it to you. On Thanksgiving we are having a devotional for the American missionaries, but I think that is about it! I haven't really thought too much about it though,  because we are just always so busy, but it is good. I wanna hear all the deets about Thanksgiving so keep me updated! And what is the update on my missionary plaque? I need to know!! I haven't gotten any mail so don't send anymore, I probably won't even get all that you have sent before I leave. Have you gotten any of my letters yet? Anyways I love you guys! Thanks for everything! Talk to you next week. LoveCarrie

November 19, 2014

I am feeling so much better, and I meet with Hermana Brown every Friday which helps a lot. My companion is great and she is so supportive, I am so grateful that I got her, and she helps me a lot with my Spanish. I love my district and It isn't even cold here haha it is like 75 and we play sand volleyball everyday, I love it. The language is hard but I know the Lord is blessing us and I have finally realized that I don't have to be fluent by the time I leave the MTC, so I need to not put so much pressure on myself. I am sleeping and eating so you don't need to worry about that. I had the stomach flu Sunday and I was throwing up, but I am better now, except I gave it to one of the Elders in my district haha oh well.  I forgot it even was Thanksgiving because it is so warm down here. I really am starting to love it here, and I am so grateful I made the choice to come and to stay. I miss you guys so much, thanks for everything you have done and still do, Tell everyone I love them!!

Love, Hermana Everett
